All this ( childhood ) time penns and pencils where his only friends.

When he started to work, and earn money he started to rage, "Wrong"  friends, nightlife,  alcohole and subcultures. After the dead of some good friends

who died on suicide, ( gang related ) murder and  accidents,  He tried to live a normal life again.  He got into a relationship with a beautiful girl named "Angela"

( means angel ) And he starded to focus on his job and a future with his "Angel" ... Sadly , .. On 5 sptember 1991 Angele died in his arms of anorexia nervosa.

 

Dwaalhaas world collapsed :  "he could not deal with it"  He started to drink , lost his job, build up debts, and finely lost his house.

Dwaalhaas lived on the streets for 2 or 3 years between other alcoholic, junkies and homeless people and dit letterly everything to get some money for booze to stay drunk.  Then he met a girl / woman who owned a restaurant and some other businesses,  She pulled him out of the gutter and aranged a roof over his head.

It was 1 empty room, no kichen, no shower, no toilet,  It was in a old building where artist came to work on there Art works. Dwaalhaas had to promise her to stop drinking, and with only a radio in his room,  he had to seek for other distactions. With old leftovers and trash from the  Artists who worked there,  Dwaalhaas started to create again "it was a good alternetive for the booze". 

 

Luctor Et Emergo :  When his new girlfriend saw  the Art works he made with trash and leftovers, she wanted him to go folowing some Art schools,  A buisness friend of her was ( in that time ) a CIO at the Center of the Art in Eindhoven, and she aranged a meeting to talk about a pre-Art academic class, But whe the CiIO saw  the Art of Dwaalhaas he said "Schooling is not good for him" he is autodidact, he has his own unique style of painting, we can not teach him anything, the only thing what we can do is take away his unique own way of creating his Art. But he can held his first exhibition here at our school to show students his autodidact paintings.

 

Another Art School :  After this first exhibition, his girlfriend still wanted Dwaalhaas to follow some form of Art school, So she let him join a  curse in a vilage near Eindhoven, it was a weekly thing with oil paint,  The teache there gave you a painting ( landscape ) and cursists had to paint the same Click to see Dwaalhaas Oil Paintings 

Every week dwaalhaas finished 1 oil painting in a few houres, than the teacher asked him, to bing some own work to school.

After seeing Dwaalhaas his own Art, the teacher told him the same story  Dwaalhaas had heard before "there is nothing we can teach U" you are autodidact with your own style.

 

 I  gues Dwaalhaas is like Vincent van Gogh, nobody understand his Art works in this century

But who knows what will happen with his unique Art works in the future ? 

 

PS.  Dwaalhaas is not about making money or selling Art,  Dwaalhaas is not about exhibitions or shows.
